Health insurers in Ireland are expected to announce price hikes following Irish Life's decision to raise prices by 4.8% for its customers.
The increase in premium rates is due to a surge in claims costs, particularly for procedures carried out in private hospitals.
VHI and Laya are likely to follow suit and announce price increases, as they have already implemented two premium rate rises this year. [ more ]
